Dance Co-Lab: Choreographers

 

 

Mission: To provide choreographers the opportunity to work in collaboration with world-class composers and musicians on the creation of new dance works set to contemporary classical music. All Choreography will be set on the festival’s dance participants.

 


 

Tuition Includes:

 

Audition to select your cast, collaboration with your own composer on an original new work (includes music rights to future post-intensive performances of your collaborated work), daily technique and choreography classes by our dance faculty, daily rehearsals for each choreographic work, showing/feedback of choreography, music and dance panel to learn more about collaboration in the professional field from experienced professionals, access to all music and dance concerts, performance of your collaborated work during the festival’s finale concert (includes audio/video recording), and a festival t-shirt.

 

 

If you are housed at the festival’s designated lodging facilities you will receive: Free Airport Transportation – from/to the airport or train station (Pickups from airport on Sunday, June 18 between 5-8pm, and drop offs on Saturday, July 1 between 9am-1pm). Otherwise, there is an option to use the bus for $2.20.

 

Tuition Cost:

 

  • $850 for the 2-week choreography intensive & performances (on-campus choreographers).

*All rehearsal space and dancers included.*

We accept payment via check, bank check, or money order.

 

 

Lodging:

Dorm accommodations for 14 nights. $525 (double occupancy). Lodging cost is optional and separate from tuition fee.

APPLICATION:

 

Your (free) application will require:

 

  • General Information – personal, choreography/dance education, and choreographic experience.
  • Video Submission – the video samples you provide are the most important part of your application. You may list up to 3 separate video links (not exceeding 12 minutes each).
